There are summers that change the rhythm of your days. And others that also change the way you experience wine.
This is the idea from which the new Tenuta Gorghi Tondi 375 ml project, inaugurated with Babbìo bianco, the winery's most convivial sparkling wine, and soon to welcome Coste a Preola Grillo and Nero d’Avola too.
The launch campaign tells it with irony: “Babbìo is ready for its beach body.”
A light-hearted game that conceals a very concrete reflection on the present of wine and new consumption behaviours.
A smaller format for a different way to drink wine
In recent years, the world of wine has undergone a significant change. More and more people are seeking more moderate, spontaneous, and flexible consumption, without compromising the quality of the experience.
The classic 750ml format doesn't always suit new drinking occasions:
- a drink for two
- A quick lunch
- A wine glass at dinner
- An impromptu toast
- Wine by the glass service in restaurants
The new 375ml format has been created precisely to accompany these contemporary occasions.
Not like “half a bottle”, but as a new measure of conviviality.
Babbìo 375 ml: same character, new size
Babbìo is the wine that most naturally interprets this project.
A sparkling white with a fresh and immediate character, produced from Grillo, Zibibbo, and Damaschino grapes grown in south-western Sicily, in the vineyards of Tenuta Gorghi Tondi, a stone's throw from the Mediterranean and the Lago Preola e Gorghi Tondi Nature Reserve. The strong maritime influence, constant ventilation, and biodiversity of the territory define what the company calls “sea viticulture”.
In the new 375ml format, Babbìo keeps its identity intact:
- Coloured bottle
- Pattern inspired by Sicilian maiolica tiles
- convivial spirit
- Fresh, Mediterranean profile
But the approach is changing. With its 11% bottles, the new mini format is part of a more contemporary approach to wine drinking: more mindful, lighter, and better suited to the pace of everyday life.
Small-format wine also conquers the restaurant industry
The 375 ml format is also a concrete response to the needs of the Ho.Re.Ca. sector.
More and more restaurants and wine bars are looking for solutions that allow:
- better management of the at-the-glass service
- less waste
- Greater rotation
- More freedom for the consumer
For those dining alone, for those who wish to have just one glass, or for those who want to accompany a meal without opening a whole bottle, the small format becomes a natural choice. It's a cultural shift, even more so than a commercial one.
A project that also speaks of sustainability
The sustainability of the project concerns not only the format but also the packaging.
The new 375 ml Babbìo bottle maintains the same aesthetic design as the original 750 ml bottle, featuring a decorative sleeve made from 40% recycled plastic.
A choice consistent with Tenuta Gorghi Tondi's production philosophy, which has always been geared towards a balance between innovation, territory, and respect for the environment.
The reduced format also contributes to this vision:
- less product waste
- greater consumption accuracy
- more attention to real moments of conviviality
Not only Babbìo: Coste a Preola, Grillo and Nero d’Avola are also arriving.
The 375 ml project will soon also involve two flagship wines from the company's Territorial line:
- Coasts in Preola Grillo
- Coste a Preola Nero d'Avola
Two labels that tell the story of the strong connection between Tenuta Gorghi Tondi and southwestern Sicily, between the sea, wind, and Mediterranean biodiversity. They too, naturally, are ready for their beachwear moment.
A new idea of conviviality
The new 375ml format is not designed to replace the traditional bottle. It is designed to complement it.
To interpret a different way of being together, of drinking wine and of experiencing the time of conviviality:
Freer, more measured, more contemporary.
Sometimes you don't need a bigger bottle. You just need the right size.
