From 4th May 2026, Tenuta Gorghi Tondi will expand its wine tourism offerings with Land and sea, one new tasting experience born from the collaboration with Rosso di Mazara®.
A project taking shape in the heart of southwestern Sicily, where wine and the sea share the same territorial and cultural origins, and where every productive expression is deeply linked to the landscape that generates it.
A natural meeting of two Mediterranean identities
Land and sea it is born from the encounter between two elements that are symbols of this territory: on the one hand, the wines of Tenuta Gorghi Tondi, an expression of the Seafarming, on the other hand, the Mazara red prawn, icon of local gastronomic culture.
The company vineyards are found a few metres from the Mediterranean, in a setting characterised by constant ventilation, calcareous soils and the presence of the Lago Preola and Gorghi Tondi Nature Reserve. This natural balance is reflected in the style of the wines: fresh, savoury, and deeply territorial.
In this scenario, the collaboration fits with Rosso di Mazara®, a company specialising in the selection and enhancement of red prawns, with whom we share a meticulous approach to raw ingredients and their most authentic expression.
The experience: from the vineyard to the plate
The route unfolds as a progressive narrative, designed to guide the guest in understanding the territory.
The visit begins with a stroll through the pine forest and continues into the winemaking cellar and barrel cellar, passing through the places where our production identity takes shape.
The final tasting represents the heart of the experience: five wines from the estate are paired with Four interpretations of the Mazara red prawn, in a dialogue that centres on balance, technique and respect for the raw ingredients.
Each pairing is designed to enhance the characteristics of the wines and the prawns, creating a coherent, never forced, experience where the Mediterranean emerges as the common thread.
