Mazara del Vallo: what to see in the city of the Dancing Satyr
A few kilometres from our estate, Mazara del Vallo is a city full of charm, shaped over the centuries by the encounter of different civilisations. Its historic centre is a maze of narrow streets and courtyards that guard the city's multicultural soul.
The Dancing Satyr Museum
The most famous symbol of Mazara is the Dancing Satyr, an extraordinary bronze statue from the Hellenistic period, found in 1998 in the depths of the Sicilian Channel. Exhibited in the museum of the same name, the work - 2.5 metres high - embodies the elegance and movement of the Dionysian dance. The museum also houses important archaeological finds from the Mediterranean.
The Kasbah: the Arab heart of the city
Mazara boasts the largest kasbah in Italy: a fascinating district where traces of Arab domination are visible in the decorations, colours and scents. Walking through its narrow streets is like walking through a mosaic of Mediterranean cultures.

The Caves of Cusa: the stone of history
Blocks for the temples of Selinunte were extracted from these quarries. The columns left incomplete in 409 BC still tell of the abrupt interruption caused by the Carthaginian invasion.
The Gorghi Tondi Nature Reserve: a birdwatching paradise
Behind our estate lies the Lake Preola and Gorghi Tondi Integral Nature Reservemanaged by the WWF. With over 170 species of birds, including flamingos, herons and black-winged stilts, it is an ideal destination for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
