Summer is here, and with it the appointment with beauty returns to Contrada San Nicola, in Mazara del Vallo. It is the sunset aperitif of the Sala sisters, organised every Thursday on the lawn of the family winery, with a view of the estate vineyards and the Mediterranean Sea.
As we know, the warm season is the best time to go around the vineyards and cellars, to admire the bunches of grapes now grown, in all their splendour, and to taste the fruit of previous vintages, while waiting for the most beautiful moment, that of the grape harvest.
Summer is the time for light-heartedness and conviviality, the perfect time to enjoy a few moments of relaxation, preferably in good company with a glass of wine in your hands. This is why, in addition to the normal wine-tasting visits that can be organised during the rest of the year, Tenuta Gorghi Tondi has decided to flank thesunset appointmenta lighter and more disengaged way of doing Enotourismto tell the many Italian and foreign travellers who come to Mazara del Vallo during the summer months to discover a lesser-known Sicily and alternative tourist itineraries about their wines and the family estate.
The aperitif hour is just an excuse to immerse oneself in the beauty of a decidedly privileged panorama and enjoy the natural spectacle of the sunset, which takes place every day right outside the cellar door.
The formula of 1TP6AppointmentSunset includes one aperitif per week, on Thursdays from 6.30 p.m., in July and August.
The €20 entrance ticket per person, which can be purchased online at the company shop, includes: a glass of wine (to be chosen from those proposed for the evening), accompanying snacks and music from the DJ set. During the event, guests can taste and purchase any other wines, either by the glass or directly in the bottle, to wait, glasses in hand, for the sun to dip into the Mediterranean Sea.
