A recognition that celebrates the uniqueness of our Sicilian mould
Our Grillodoro,, the only botrytised wine produced in Sicily, achieves a new and important milestone: the AIS Life Guide 2026 he awarded him as “Best Territorial Wine”, recognising its deep identity and inseparable connection with the landscape that gives it life.
The awards ceremony took place on 15 November at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence, during the official presentation event of the guide. A moment of great emotion for our whole family and for the Gorghi Tondi team, who proudly welcomed this prestigious recognition.
The Grillodoro is born from grapes Overripe grape, caressed by the precious Botrytis cinerea, the “noble mould”, and cultivated a few metres from the Mediterranean, not far from the WWF oasis Lago Preola and Gorghi Tondi, a Mazara del Vallo. A rare balance, only possible in very few vintages, which transforms every bottle into an authentic story of our land.
Being chosen among the 100 “Best Regional Wines” once again confirms Grillodoro's ability to embody our production philosophy: respect for nature, patient observation and appreciation of the most intrinsic characteristics of Western Sicily.
